adaqiying (b.1995) is a multidisciplinary Chinese artist based in Liverpool and Shenzhen. She holds a master’s degree from the Tisch School of Arts at New York University, majoring in Art Politics(2022). She leverages visual arts disciplines and film production to create works that focus on the discourses of identity politics, intersectionality, and gender-based violence in a digital space. She has been selected by the New Art Exchange in Nottingham for the NAE Open (2026) and twice as a 100+ Asian Art Season Artist (2024–2025). Her documentary film has been selected by HiShort! (2024), the NYShorts International Film Festival, and the Toronto Women’s Film Festival; featured by UN Women China; and won or been nominated twice for Best PSA (Public Service Advertisement) at the Shanghai JCDecaux Awards(2018~2019).
