Muse of Sea is a fine art photography series created in collaboration with dancer and activist Lisa by camerawoman adaqiying. Across ten images, the project explores the connection between the female body and the natural world specifically the sea, the soil, and the stillness of uninhabited landscapes. It is a queer, intuitive collaboration between two women, shaped by shared trust, vulnerability, and the desire to reconnect with something elemental.
Rooted in eco-feminist thought, the series reflects on how both women’s bodies and the environment are sites of exploitation and resilience. Muse of Sea imagines the body not as decoration, but as part of the earth itself fluid and sacred.
